BASF Chemical Plant Explosion Kills Three in Germany

A massive explosion and fire at BASF's Ludwigshafen, Germany plant, one of the world's largest chemical complexes, has killed three people and injured several others. The plant is still under construction and was reportedly being rebuilt following damage sustained during the Second World War.
People living near the plant have been warned to stay inside and close their windows due to the release of hazardous chemicals. The cause of the explosion is still under investigation.
