The Chicago Bears emerged victorious in the 2024 NFL Hall of Fame Game, defeating the Houston Texans 21-17 Thursday night in Canton, Ohio. The game, broadcast live on ESPN, featured live score highlights and updated stats throughout the contest.

The Texans drew first blood with a touchdown pass from Kyle Allen to Chris Moore in the first quarter. However, the Bears responded with a touchdown run by David Montgomery and a field goal by Cairo Santos to take a 10-7 lead at halftime.

In the second half, the Bears extended their lead with another field goal by Santos. The Texans cut the deficit to 16-14 with a touchdown run by Dameon Pierce, but Justin Fields sealed the win for Chicago with a touchdown pass to Velus Jones Jr. late in the fourth quarter.

The victory gives the Bears a 1-0 record in the preseason, while the Texans fall to 0-1. Both teams will continue their preseason schedules next week with the Bears facing the Kansas City Chiefs and the Texans taking on the New Orleans Saints.
